ASU ignites China's youth for Mars exploration

Forty highly energized Chinese high school students, racing a deadline, used bagfuls of everyday materials from the dollar store to build models of the first human outpost on Mars. The students, who came from all over China, were competing in the final round of the China Youth Space Academy, an academic challenge joint partnership with Arizona State University, the Chinese government-run Web site, China.com.cn, and Beijing's Flying Spirit advertising agency.

Australian honor salutes Davies for service to science

Homecoming Block Party a blockbuster event!

ASU's Homecoming Block Party, held 3-7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, was a huge success. In the photo on the left, President Michael Crow visited the Global Engagement booth on the Old Main lawn and posed with Wai Mei Chan and Yixin Zhao, both exchange students from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

Confucius Institute launch a success

The Confucius Institute at Arizona State University was successfully launched at an inaugural ceremony held Mon., Oct. 22 in the ASU Foundation's 6th Floor Boardroom at Fulton Center in Tempe.

ASU signs Memorandum of Understanding with Inner Mongolia University


Arizona State University recently entered into an agreement with Inner Mongolia University (IMU) located in Hohhot, the capital city of Inner Mongolia, China. The principal aim of this new joint initiative is to promote scholarly exchanges and research collaboration, particularly with respect to sustainability science and practice.
