China, Summer 2008
May 30 to July 30, 2008

Arizona State University offers a combination package of study and travel in China. The first six weeks is a Arts, Language & Culture Study Program in Beijing. Part II is a Journey to the West of China on the famous Silk Road. Those participating in Part I will leave for China on May 30, 2008 and study in Beijing until July 12. Those joining Part II will start the excursion on July 12, 2008. Before returning to the US, we will stop by Hong Kong to observe the Pearl of Orient, in comparison with Shanghai. Russia, Summer 2008
June 23 to July 31, 2008

The Barrett Honors College offers a unique five-week study abroad program to Russia focusing on the historical development of the region from the Middle Ages to the present. Participants will have the opportunity to explore the ways in which major socio-political trends in Russia have influenced art, literature, science, and business. As an academically rigorous program, participants will be expected to write two papers and create one journal to document all they have experienced. Program cost: $3,985.
